SOOOOO as I mentioned in another post, spent money on a Redge Fit. While I’m sure it’s probably a great machine – it comes with NO instructions and if you wanna use their APP you have to pay more for that. It’s intuitive to a point – but for someone that’s barely used gym equipment in her life – it made me so angry I stopped working out.
Obviously, this isn’t helpful to me, my plan, or my goals. So I found some inexpensive resistance bands on Amazon and they arrived today. I was able to complete today’s workout with a combination of the Redge Fit and the bands and feel better that I was back to working out. I’ve also added more distance to my daily walks (morning and evening). Instead of just making laps of my cul de sac, I started going up hill to the cul de sac at the other end of the road.
This added incline and distance. I’ve doubled the number of steps in about the same amount of time. It’s a little win – but I guess it’s still worth celebrating. I did have a slight setback this morning – because I’m a nincompoop and let my ear buds die. Listening to podcasts or music makes the time go faster and I focus on it and not the distance, heat or pain.
Some days it’s all I can do to force myself to go on both walks but so far I haven’t missed a day since I started walking on my mother’s birthday – it’s only 13 days ago – but I intend to keep it up forever. Here’s to a healthier body.
