Sooooooo, again, not a doctor, not a professional, not a nutritionist, just your average Jane trying to improve my life. After improving the quality of the food I was eating I found that I’m really rarely hungry and often only eat once a day. I drink anywhere between 3-5 liters of water per day. I try hard not to eat after 6pm and not before noon. This will become challenging for me when my busy season starts, but I’m determined to keep it up.
If I’m hungry I’ll have 2-3 free range eggs (I may use some grass fed butter ,I may not) and if I have it, my pasture raise beef or pork breakfast sausage, or perhaps some leftover steak. For dinner, often steak, chicken or pork, cooked on the grill, or in the NuWave. I do enjoy making chicken parmesan (without pasta) but even the panko and breadcrumbs have bad stuff in them, so I’m making it less and less often.
But with the nutrient density of the quality of the food I’m eating I find that one meal a day has become sufficient for me. When I’m out seeing clients, I’m not gonna lie, I’ll get the thought to swing in somewhere to grab a drink or a cheat meal, but I don’t and I head home to my water and quality food.
I’m starting to wonder how this is gonna impact my ability to date, IF I ever find someone real and serious about it. Honestly, the new way I eat, treat myself, my body, my health, DOES restrict some things that I’m struggling with. I miss singing karaoke, but I know I won’t get the right amount of sleep if I go out late. Also, obviously alcohol isn’t part of the program either. I’ve never been a big drinker, but I do enjoy an adult beverage every now and again.
So what’s a girl to do?
